A vibrant and joyful collection of Kanj’s illustrations from her children’s book Imagine If We Could Fly, this exhibition marked her coming of age as an artist, illustrator, and author.

Aimed at Early Years children and their families, the book encourages curiosity and creative exploration, conveying the message that the sky is the limit to our imagination. 

This creative journey reconnected Kanj with her inner child, inspiring her passion to help children explore freely & create boldly. She believes every child deserves space to explore, break rules, and be creative.

Inspired by the landscapes of Hednesford Hills and Brocton Coppice, in Cannock Chase, the artworks emerged and evolved during the covid pandemic. During this time of change, art became a way in which to process what was happening in our nation and in the world. Keep Dreaming is a celebration of resilience and growth, of holding onto her dreams during the darkest of times and growing as an artist. 

A collection of felted textile art, that express Joy and hope, in the little things of life.  Kanj embarked on a personal journey of gratitude, as a means of staying positive, despite the challenges of life. Choosing to be grateful, was how she focussed on the blessings that each day offered, which helped her to remain positive and overcome life’s struggles. Her felted textiles are an expression of her inner joy.

This was Kanj’s first solo exhibition, when she resumed her creative practice as an artist, after a long pause while she cared for and brought up her little family. Her training in textile design, in Australia has infused in her a lifelong passion for textiles. Threads of Life is an expression of her joy of rediscovering her creative essence and making art again.
